Ellen(Elle) is an artist based in Littleton, CO. Her favorite thing about art is exploring different mediums and figuring out how to use them to express her creativity. From clay, to pencils, to pens, to makeup and so much more, She believes that each offers a new way to tell a story, which is always worth exploring.
In a lot of her work, she explore themes of life and death. She lost her dad when she was 6, and later lost her Papa (her grandpa), who acted as a father figure when she was 10. These losses have shaped her perception of life and death, making her see them as a cycle and a continuous journey. She sees this cycle, and death as a whole, as a really beautiful thing. As something that deserves to be celebrated, even through the pain. Themes of grief and introspection are the center of her work. She intends to explore and share aspects of herself whether it’s how intense her emotions feel extremely intense or exploring her relatively recent OCD diagnosis. Overall, she intends to share her experiences and provide a connection for people who are going through similar situations.
